Dear Parent,

Your child has brought a Lent Book home – please can they complete all aspects of the booklet and return it to school by Tuesday 28^th March? Prizes will be given for the most detailed booklets that are completed.

Each Friday Wigan Council are supporting the local schools with a ‘Walking Bus’. This is to help reduce the traffic around school. If you would like to meet us on the parsonage, by the side of KFC at 8.30am each Friday you can form part of the ‘Walking Bus’ and your child can earn stickers and badges. Miss Lawton has shared the proposal to calm traffic permanently around school. The consultation is open until 24^th March. Next week, Tom, the photographer is in school. He will be taking photos of the children individually and with their siblings in school. The proposed timetable is:

Monday - Class 11 & children in Class 11 with siblings in lower classes; Class 10 & children in Class 10 with siblings in lower classes; Class 9 & children in Class 9 with siblings in lower classes.

Tuesday – Class 8 & children in Class 8 with siblings in lower classes; Class 7 & children in Class 7 with siblings in lower classes; Class 6 & children in Class 6 with siblings in lower classes.

Wednesday – the remainder of the children. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CHILDREN IN PE KITS MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY

Just a reminder own clothes day is on Friday 17th March – please can we have donations of  Easter chocolate/small Easter eggs to support our EASTER EGG BINGO on FRIDAY 24^th March? Easter Egg Bingo will be at 3.30pm in the school hall. There is no charge to enter the bingo, each game will cost £1.

The Friends of Sacred Heart, Leigh are organising ‘Mothers’ Day Secrets Room’. A letter has already been sent home. Requests need to be in school by MONDAY 13^th MARCH - £5 a gift or £3 for a special chocolate bar.

Staff will be writing to you soon – we are arranging PARENTS EVENINGS w/b Monday 27^th March.

School will close at 2.30pm on Friday 31^st March following Year 5’s Easter Reflection in church to which everyone is invited. The reflection will begin at 1.45pm.
